Our trip to Indo

We have to leave the country every 90 days so we are in Indonesia.
When we first got to Indonesia we ate at Dunkin Donuts. I know that is sort of strange to be the first thing we did in Indo, but it was super good. We had to look for the driver for a little while but we eventually got to Uncle Steve and Aunt Jane's house.

The day after that we rested and played games at the house. The next day we went to a coffee shop. Not a Starbucks coffee shop, a literal coffee shop. As in, buying freshly roasted coffee beans. Uncle Steve is friends with the guy who owns the shop, so we got to see how they make it!

That night we went to an anklung show.

We also went to a sulphur lake and it smelled sooooo bad!! It was also super cold.

     We went to eat at a restaurant where the fish were right below your feet.

          We ate this delicious fish that was cooked perfectly

 Oh yeah... there were also bats.

The beach was so pretty!

This bridge-looking thing was made by a volcano. Isn't it awesome that God creates such amazing things?

Cookies a la carte

Hey! So I had this idea to turn my travel blog into a craft & baking & anything else blog. Now my blog will be much less empty. This time I'm actually going to put something fun on here. It's a super easy recipe for turning frosting into really yummy cookies.

Ingredients:
1 1/4 tablespoon milk
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons shortening
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
       Preheat the oven to 180C (350F). If you already have frosting, skip mixing these first 5 ingredients. Mix the powdered sugar, shortening, butter, milk, & vanilla together in a bowl. Add the flour, egg, baking soda, & salt and stir. put them in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
